Where will I be traveling?
I would like to travel in Maharashtra. Especially the cities of Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur.
When will I be traveling?
During semester holidays ( December 15 to December 30)
Focus Area:
Vernacular architecture of Maharashtra Special interest on Shaniwar wada fort, Parvathi temple, Visapur Fort, Colaba Fort, Sinhagarh Fort.
● Special focus on forts, palaces and historic buildings etc.
● Patterns, color and texture of the architectural forms.
● Exploring the details of the building.
Where will I be traveling?
I will be travelling in rajasthan, especially jaipur and near by villages and cities.
When will I be traveling?
Around new year i.e. 5th jan to 14th jan 2008
Focus Area:
· Effect of hot climate of rajasthan on the buildings over there.
· Rajasthani tradition shown in buildings and built forms through the detailing done.
· Special focus on the pink city of rajasthan i.e. jaipur and the various mahals and havelis and the other beauties of the desert and the very famous; hawa mahal.

Places like Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, Kerla Etc.
When will I be traveling?
I will be traveling during December 5th to December 30th of 2007.
Focus Area:
Will be concentrating on the environmental impact of the building towards its locality.
How the buildings blends next to its surrounding and what kind of feeling or sense it gives to the person who visits the building, and also while his travel towards the building.

Focus Area:
I would like to throw light on the living conditions of people in a congested urban setting, which could be very well called as the future cities. The kind of architecture that the people inhabiting there follow. Their interpretations of Architecture- as SPACE MAKING; every nook and corner is Real Estate.
Thus I would like to highlight such areas and establish a link between Architecture and the Common Man.
Special focus on perception of Built environment by the Users, by recording the Architecture they follow.
Elements of Style that is typical to their lifestyle and manifested in the Built Forms.

Impeccable Architectural beauty and magnificent elegance of Rajasthan through its various Palaces, Majestic Forts, Temples and Museums of ‘The Great Raj puts’.
Gracious lifestyles in Rajasthan.
Vibrant and Striking regions of the Rajasthan cities like streetscapes, houses, etc.

(Depicting the usage of landscape by the users of the building. And detailing out how important is the landscape for the building.)

of Tamil nadu. Especially focusing upon the Chetinadu houses in
Karaikudi and would also take interest in temple architecture (places
like Madurai, Tanjore, Srirangam)

I would be traveling in the month of December and January.

Vernacular architecture of Tamil nadu.
Special focus on the detailing done in the columns and other areas.
The materials used for construction.
The construction detailing of the houses and temples.

I would like to travel to Bangalore., the garden city of India.

-Buddhist architecture of Nagpur and nearby villages.
-Forts built during Maratha period by Shivaji and his followers
-Factors influencing the scale and function of forts
-Effect of climate of built form
-Places as tourist spot
Where will I be traveling?
The culture of Bengal has evolved over the ages into a truly rich and varied one. Art and Architecture has Flourished here since time immemorial.
Kolkata, being the capital of British India, has a historic significance , and has now evolved into the Cultural Capital of India.
I would like to travel to Kolkata and Other Parts of Bengal, and Trace the Historic past and the evolution in architecture, through my Photography.

During the winter vacations. December 2007 – January 2008

Buildings of Historic and Architectural Significance in Kolkata in particular and Bengal as a whole. (Special focus on Buildings of British era)
